The Beginning of the End
August 15, 2016 , a day I had been dreading since the beginning of my junior year summer. Knowing that you're up next to walk down the stage to get your diploma is a feeling that i yet to find out how I feel about it. I still recall coming in as a freshman thinking senior year was so far away and that I have nothing to worry about, but let me tell you, it all happen in a blink of an eye. I’m afraid of the downs I might face this year but1 I’m more excited about everything that I will accomplish this year and all the memories I will make with my brothers. I will be going into my senior year with a open mind and so much motivation to make my loved ones proud.
Today is Friday August 19, 2016 and I’m just finishing up my first week of senior year. It’s just been a couple days of school and so much has already happened , I told myself I’d be on top of my work and that what I’m doing. I completed my job shadow this week and I actually enjoyed it. I shadowed officer Chris Dempsey at the LPD and had a great experience overall. This was the most exciting part of my senior project but hopefully just for now. I am super excited to see the final product of my senior project and to present it to all the LF’s , I have no doubt that I’ll reach expectation and even go beyond.
The biggest thing I’m looking forward to this year is my football season. One last ride with my brothers. This is my last chance to win a valley championship with the people i grew up with , my bestfriends. I’ve worked for 5 years for this, I’ve put so much time and effort into my football career and It’s a bittersweet feeling i get one last chance. It’s not all sad though I’m stoked to get onto the field. Another goal I have is to hopefully be able to play football at the next level. I know It’s not going to be easy but nothing is easy in this world if you want something you have to go out and get it, everything is earned. For an athlete to make it to the next level coming from lindsay is not something that occurs frequently it’s quite rare in fact. All I can do is work hard and let GOD take care of the rest.
Im starting of my senior year on pace with all my classes and It’s such a great feeling. I’ve passed every course I’ve taken at LHS and I’m planning on continuing that tradition .There's no other option I will finish strong. My motivation has never been higher I will make my family proud as well as myself. I decided to take some difficult courses , just to get me univercity ready and to help me get into those tougher schools. Might have just made my life a lot harder but i know It’ll be worth it.

Half Way done
We are just a few weeks away from the end of our first semester of senior year, and In my head It still feels like I have so much time. I’m sad to say that my football career as a lindsay high school cardinal has officially came to an end. We made It to the first round of playoffs and that as far as we got, I wish health would have been more on my team's side because the teammates I started the year with where not the same I ended the year with, but that’s nothing I could control. My last season was definitely one to remember I have memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life, I am also blessed to say that I reached one of the goals I had set for myself which was winning defensive athlete of the year. It feels so good to reach goals you set for yourself but I’m never satisfied and always hungry for more. Although I will never be strapping up as a cardinal again I hope to be able to find a new home next year to continue my journey as a football player.
Currently I am doing fairly well In my classes I told myself that I would stay on top of all my work and do the best I can do to meet every deadline I had.It has been challinging but nothing I cant hadle of course. The class that has given me the biggest challenge Is hands down AP spanish literature, It has to be the hardest class I’ve been enrolled In LHS, But to this date I have not failed any courses I’ve taken and I don’t plan on starting now. I’m determined to finish strong just how our school preaches.
I submitted applications to csu fresno, csu sacramento, csu fullerton, and csu san francisco. I am so excited to hear back from all of them , the waiting game Is so nerve wracking because you just want to know If you have been accepted or not.I hope to get accepted to all of them that would be amazing, although I applied to four I have my eyes on two. My main choice Is san francisco due to the fact that It’s a great school and because I absolutely love the city. My second Is csu fresno, my older sister attend csu fresno so i’ve had the opportunity to visit the campus and It’s very nice and on top the school offers great programs. My plans for after high school Is to first persue my dream of playing college football , but If that doesnt work out I will be atteding a four year universirty like the ones I just named. I will major In criminal justice. My plan Is to start as a CHP officer , then continue to go up in ranks and hopefully one day join the CIA and be a secret agent. I don’t plan on keeping the same job for my entire life, I'm the type of person that likes to experience everything life has to offer, so that's exactly what I’m going to do .

One step closer
Just days away from completing the first semester of my senior year and It still seems so surreal that I'm closing In my last semester of highschool. To think that in a couple months my life will be changing excites me so much I cannot wait. I have very important dates coming up like my senior exit interview, I signed up for early completion which means I will be one of the few that presents before the rest of the school. My whole process with my exit interview has been quite fun, I stayed on top of all my task throughout the whole process. I am so excited to present already ,I received my Interview appointment yesterday 1/30/17 Is my date and I’m super excited for it i have done two interviews prior to this one so I have built techniques to help me and have the best possible interview I can possibly have.
The reason why I’m so excited to do my exit interview Is because I get to share my whole high school experience with others. I get to show them what I loved about it and what I hated about It. It’s a high school view from my eyes. I get show what I accomplished In my four years here at LHS.In my perspective the harddest thing I faced in my time here was multitasking while staing on top of all your classes, for example when playing sports, being a student athlete Is not easy that’s exactly why not everyone does It. what people don’t see is that playing sports In high school has so much more to It than what It seems, you make brothers for life and so much memories are made , but more Importantly you learn about life. And in the other hand the easiest thing for me In highschool was making great friends and friendships that will last a lifetime. But the crazy part Is that not everyone can say that, tons of people have problems with other people for various reasons, I’ve never had that problem not because I'm lucky but because I choose the right friends In high school and even In life the people you surround yourself with can make you or break you. I choose so many great friends who have always been there for me and have helped me get better and be the person I am today we help each other stay on the good road.
As I keep getting closer and closer to the end of this journey I can't help but reflect on all the hard things I’ve been through In the past 4 years how much times I got close to breaking down and just giving In.but I knew It’d all be worth It soon so I kept with It and now that I’m In the position I’m In there’s just so much to be thankful for. Anything In this world Is possible you can do whatever you want, dreams do come true as long as you put the work In and have faith anything can turn Into a reality. Have a purpose and know your why.
